Helping your business grow in the 21st century

Needs Analysis :

The core of the solution is woven into the fabric of the business analysis. Jill is a peripetetic piano teacher who needed a web site as a form of status; she wanted to increase her customer base; as well as continuing to service her current clients she wanted to reach out to a target clientelle she had not yet reached. As a techno-phobe she did not want anything to do with computers but she wanted to be in control of the site content and leave the technology to Markets2000.

Solution:

This was found in Four areas. Web site design; Optimization; Internet marketing; and Monitoring and review.

Web site design: One of the problems with the internet is it can be very impersonal. Unllike a "shop" environment it is not easy to innitiate trust. The surfer needs to feel they can trust an often faceless service. Markets2000 reflected Jills' honest, warm, friendly personality as a peripetetic piano teacher would need to be welcome in other peoples houses. Also a fine balance had to be made between highlighting the groups Jill felt she could offer a service to and still attract the customers she works with.

Optimization: The web Site (jill-piano-teacher.co.uk)needed to be seen by as many people as possible within her geographical area. This meant configuring the site to allow the the majority of browsers, computers with varying download speeds, and different monitor resolutions to b able to view it. Jpg's and giffs needed to be optimised to ensure downloads did not hinder users enjoyment of the site and send them elsewhere. Also through internet marketing targeting appropriate business directories and portals and innitiating link research.

Monitoring and Review:After the initial referral to search engines and business directories there needed to be some tweaking following analysis of site statistics. Markets2000 sees site design as in a constant state of evolution for the following reasons:

  1. Technology changes at an alarming rate.
  2. Search organizations trends change
  3. Need to respond to statistical data and adapt the site.
  4. Business growth leads to site expansion
  5. Site success may lead to business growth and site growth should follow

"Nick from Markets2000 was very patient while I explained what I wanted on my website, speaking in terms I understood.  He made changes to the script as and when necessary, and has given lots of good follow-up advice on how to make changes and expand the site as my teaching practice grows. I couldnt believe it when we found that in Yahoo.co.uk I am the number one site under search referral "Piano teacher Kent!!" I realise now it is not just about design, the important part is the continuous internet marketing. I am now recieving a wider range of clientelle from callers "
